Profiles are one of the most widely used sections in various industries, including the construction industry. The cross-sectional profile of a long set that has the same cross-sectional area throughout its length. Profiles can be divided in different ways. For example, in a division based on the shape of the cross section, the profiles are divided into two groups of open and closed profiles. Also, in terms of application, profiles were categorized as industrial and construction profiles. Construction profiles, as their name suggests, are mostly used for making doors and windows and for use in buildings, while industrial profiles are used in automobile manufacturing and the construction of facilities and machines. Construction profiles are less thick and have less strength compared to industrial profiles.

Different types of profiles in terms of cross-sectional shape

Profiles are divided into two categories, open profile and closed profile, according to the shape of the cross section:

Open profile: Those profiles that have an open shape are called open profiles. The sections mentioned below are part of the open profile category.
